RHODOPE INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL 2022 AWARDS
With its second edition, the Rhodope International Documentary Film Fest /RIFE/ established itself as a sustainable multi-component festival that provides the Bulgarian public with free access to high-quality international, regional, national and local film content. RIFE takes place at an altitude of 1000 meters in one of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountain towns, Smolyan, with guests from all over the world. Within six festival days, in the period July 7-12, 45 films were presented with free admission to the spectators in Smolyan and the guests of the festival. A specialized documentary educational workshop was held for film students from NBU under the mentorship of the prominent Bulgarian documentary filmmaker Svetoslav Draganov.
With the cooperation of its national and international partners, the Rhodope International Documentary Film Fest provides awards in technical services for the filmmakers’ next projects. This is a purposeful policy of the festival, which corresponds to its task of stimulating the work of talented documentary filmmakers and helping them develop their future projects.
