
Nathalie David was born in France 1963, she lives in Hamburg and Berlin. She studied fine arts at the Villa Arson in Nice, at the HfbK Hamburg and at the Ponthus Hùlten Institut in Paris. She received a one-year fellowship at the HFF Potsdam-Babelsberg. She sees the documentary gaze as a genre and as a specific artistic process. Her films are mainly about artists and collectors. Her last film Harald “Naegeli – the Zurich Sprayer” was nominated for the German Documentary Film Award 2022.

Bernd Buder was born in 1964 and studied political science at the Free University of Berlin. He works as a curator and freelance film journalist. Since 1996 he has been associated with the Cottbus Film Festival – Festival of Eastern European Cinema in various capacities (selector, public relations, curator) and since 2015 he has been its programme director. He is a consultant of the Cinedays Festival in Skopje and since 2021 he is also the programme director of the Jewish Film Festival in Berlin, Brandenburg. He was a programme consultant for the Go East Film festival, the Berlinale-Forum, the Zagreb Film Festival, etc.

Vesela Marchevska was was born in Sofia. After finishing her studies at the Film Academy in Prague, she moved to Germany, where she has edited numerous feature films and documentaries. Many of her films have received awards at various festivals, including two Oscar nominations: Nana Djordjadze’s A CHEF IN LOVE and Yaron Shani and Scandar Copti’s ADJAMI, EMMY Award for Hartmut Schoen’s DIE MAUER -BERLIN 61, Best Film for Dito Tsintsadze’s SCHUSSANGST in San Sebastian, Best Editing Awards for Asli Özge’s A MAN ON THE BRIDGE in Istanbul and Vadim Perelman’s PERSIAN LESSONS in Valladolid.

Vladimir Andreev was born 1954 in Sofia. Graduated the Faculty of Mathematics at the Sofia University and later the National Academy for Theatrical and Film Arts in Sofia as Film and TV Director. Studied for two years (1982-1984) at VGIK, Moscow. Worked at the “Boyana Film Studio” and SNPDF “Vreme” (Studio for documentary films). Since 1992 independent film producer, founder and partner in the production company BOROUGH FILM Ltd. Married, with two sons – one of them Cinematographer, the other Director.

Ebru Thwaites Diken is a film scholar who has worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Cinema at İstanbul Bilgi University since 2018. She has an interdisciplinary background, with a BA degree in Economics (Bosphorus University), a PhD degree in Sociology (Lancaster University). Her research interests include film criticism, film and social theory, documentary film, gender, women’s cinema and director’s ethics. She has an international record of publications on cinema, including books and journal articles.

Kornel Miglus studied philosophy, linguistics and psychology in Poland, the USA and Germany; since 1994 he has been a film representative of the Polish Institute in Berlin; in 2001 he founded Vacant Filmproduktion; since 2005 he has been the director of the film festival filmPOLSKA Berlin and since 2021 producer of the festival 610 Berlin Warszawa; as a meditation teacher and coach he runs Cornus Praxis in Berlin. Kornel Miglus is a director and producer of several documentary films and documentaries.
