An 80-year-old activist from Ekaterinburg, Russia takes part in protests and stages solo pickets in the city center, unafraid to openly criticize the authorities. However, since the start of the war in Ukraine, the cost of speaking out has risen sharply – and she now faces a choice: to continue her activism or fall silent.

Director’s Biography:
Egor Gavrilin was born in Chelyabinsk in 1987. In 2010, he graduated from the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts with a degree in Advertising Directing. He directs commercials, music videos, and narrative short films. Two of his works – “The Real Evidence: Laptop” and “Knitting Club for Men Over 40” — have been screened at dozens of Russian and international film festivals. Recently, he has begun working in documentary filmmaking. He is currently studying at the Moscow Film School.
