
The Sofia Puppet Theatre travels to Japan and, in partnership with the Tokyo PUK Puppet Theatre, produces the bilingual performance “A Story of a Seagull and a Gang of Tomcats,” directed by Katya Petrova. The film unveils the unseen processes within the creative laboratory of the performance. It explores how the arts transcend borders, bridging gaps and fostering profound spiritual connections through the universal language of creativity, told through the eyes of those who lived it.

Director’s Biography:
Before making his debut as a film director, he gained extensive experience in sound production, contributing to numerous successful feature films and documentaries. His roles encompassed location and post-production work, sound design, mixing, and managing sound crews. As a producer, he has created animated short films and a full-length documentary for Bulgarian National Television. In recent years, he has also co-produced several feature films and documentaries of varying budgets.
