For a hundred years, a monumental casino has created enormous wealth in a fishermen’s village. There is hardly a local resident to be found who hasn’t economically or socially profited from it. However, the bankruptcy of this colossal nullifies all perspectives and autonomy. With its re-opening, the villagers get a final chance. What does it need to change routines?

Director’s Biography:
Born in 1996 in Hamburg, Germany, he studied stage design with Raimund Bauer at the HFBK Hamburg and, as an ASA scholarship holder, film with Clément Cogitore at the École des Beaux Arts Paris. His stage designs are created for theatre and opera in German-speaking countries. At the same time his set designs can be seen in film, e.g. for ABL MA ANSA (Mariam Mekiwi, Berlinale 2018) or CIVIL DUSK (David Uzochukwu & Jünglinge Film, CPH:DOX 2022).
He is in the development of the set design for the cinema feature films HYGGE by Lena Fakler & Zarah Schrade and DEATH AND THE MAIDEN by Adina Pintilie (Golden Bear winner, 68th Berlinale).
ARCHITECTURE OF GOOD FORTUNE, codirected with Michele Cirigliano, is his directing debut.
