
Many of us know that the Mediterranean Diet consisting of plant based foods with few or no animal products is good for our health. But few of us know how particular plants affect different parts of our body and how food can act as medicine, if used correctly. The film explores the most recent science behind the Mediterranean diet, looking into the pioneering research which seeks to understand why and how certain food combinations can prevent heart disease, cancer, obesity and brain aging.

Director’s Biography:
Alexandros is a documentary filmmaker based in Greece, collaborating with many Greek institutes and production companies. His work includes the ‘Journey to Ithaca’, a BBC storyworks production in collaboration with Hyundai Europe, following a team of volunteers who are working to restore Ithaca’s marine environment to its former glory, various collaborations with London based Monocle magazine and the TV campaign of WWF Greece ‘Fight for your World’ celebrating 30 years of WWF activity in Greece.
