Director’s Biography:
Anton Shtuka is a film director and documentary photographer from Kiev, Ukraine. He is a member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers, and the Ukrainian Film Academy. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he has been documenting real and dramatic stories from Ukraine for Western audiences as a documentary photographer and filmmaker. He is the author of several documentaries, including “The Year That Never Ended” and “Warning! Life Goes On”, about a street artist from Kharkiv. Since 2022, he has worked with The Guardian, Bloomberg, The Times, PBS, NPR, AP, Reuters, AFP, Paris Match, and Radio Liberty.
