    Director’s Biography:

    Hadith Moradi (sometimes spelled Hadis Moradi) is an emerging Kurdish filmmaker and director from Sanandaj, Eastern Kurdistan, Iran. She is best known for directing the acclaimed 2025 short film Goddess (co-directed with Parisa Abdollahi), which won the Peace & Justice Prize at the MENA Film Festival in The Hague. 

    Parisa Abdollahi is an emerging documentary filmmaker and director from Sanandaj, Eastern Kurdistan (Iran). She is best known for directing the 2025 short documentary Goddess (co-directed with Hadith Moradi), which explores the ancient ceremonial customs of villagers invoking the water goddess to ensure rainfall. Both Abdollahi and Moradi hold degrees in filmmaking and are recognized for highlighting women’s perspectives and age-old regional traditions in their work.
