
Sisters Adelaide and Lucinda grew up in the care of their Grandma Ann, aka “Nansie”. But roles have switched since Nansie was diagnosed with Dementia. Recently, she has been saying to her granddaughters when they visit that she has been swimming in the ocean every morning. The girls know for a fact it’s not the case as Nansie never learned to swim, but what if it could be? They embark on a rocky journey and along the way, discover secrets their Nana has managed to hide her entire life.

Director’s Biography:
Anna has produced and directed various award winning documentaries for This Film Studio (Australia), including ‘Skategoat’. In 2021, she embarked on an independent journey, starting with feature documentary ‘Nansie’ in collaboration with ABC journalist Adelaide Miller. She is also working for the Annecy Festival (France). Awards include 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards, 2020 AIS Lumiere Award, 2019 Infinity Festival Monolith Award, and 2024 Sydney Film Festival Audience Award
